My Whining

On April 13, 2017 the Mets had a one and a half game lead in the National League East. The season flagged from there. There was an abundance of reasons why the Mets played poorly all summer but injuries were the primary force behind an abysmal season. I do not seek pity by posting the ensuing injury list…but look at Wilmer Flores’ injury on 9/2…it was a foul ball to the FACE. HE hit a foul ball into HIS OWN FACE.

Some of this list is transactional but you can imagine the scope of the chaos that Met fans were privy to.
